Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea inaugurated today the 54th Cairo International Fair (CIF), on behalf of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, with the participation of ambassadors of Saudi Arabia, Paraguay, Georgia, Pakistan, Ecuador and Lebanon, among other participant countries.

“The CIF is the most important and largest commercial event in Egypt and the Middle East, which receives a lot of  attention from countries around the world,” Gamea said, stressing its significance in providing high quality products at competitive prices, especially that it comes this year as kids head back to school.

She added that the exhibition, which runs until October 8, promotes Egyptian products and helps raise their competitiveness in local and global markets.

The fair displays products of different sectors, including: food industries, furnishings, electrical appliances, furniture, leather and chemicals.

Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam and Sudan will be participating in the expo, and Iraq is the guest of honor of this year’s edition.
