Gamea has
held cooperation talks with her Jordanian and Palestinian counterparts on the
sidelines of 108th Arab League’s ESC ministerial meeting.

Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea held meetings
with a number of Arab ministers of trade and economy participating in the 108th
session of the Arab League’s Economic and Social Council (ESC) at the
ministerial level, which started today in Cairo.
The meetings included one with Jordanian Minister of Industry,
Trade and Supply Maha Al-Ali, where they explored means to enhance joint
economic cooperation with the aim of boosting intra-regional trade during the
next period.
They also discussed strengthening cooperation between Egypt,
Jordan and Iraq, building on the recent tripartite talks held during the past
months in hope of achieving regional economic integration.
To this end, the two ministers stressed the need to exert more
efforts to facilitate trade movement and enhance industrial cooperation between
private sector companies in the three countries.
Furthermore, Gamea met
with Palestinian Minister of Economy Khaled al-Osaily, where they discussed
bilateral cooperation especially in the field of standards and quality.
