Egypt is fully committed to CICA’s
programs based on equality and respect for sovereignty rights.

al-Sisi, Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir has delivered Egypt’s
speech at the 6th Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building
Measures in Asia (CICA), held in the Kazakh capital Astana on October 12 and
13.
The minister first conveyed Sisi’s
greeting to Kazakhstan’s president and all participants in the summit, lauding the
organization’s pivotal role in maintaining peace and security in Asia, as well
as stability at the regional and international levels.
“We are fully committed to CICA’s
programs based on equality, respect for sovereignty rights, and boosting
economic, social and cultural cooperation with the world,” Samir said.
Egypt, he added, welcomes the
launch of constructive, comprehensive negotiations on the gradual
transformation of CICA into an international, as well as regional, organization.
