bolstering mutual economic cooperation between both countries.

Minister of Trade and Industry
Ahmed Samir has met with UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla Bin Touq al-Marri and
his accompanying delegation, to explore means of bolstering mutual economic
cooperation.
“Egypt-UAE relations are a model of
strategic ties built on achieving integration across a variety of fields and levels,”
Samir said, noting that this October marks 50 years since diplomatic relations
were established between the two nations.
He pointed out that the business
community in both countries play a major role in boosting bilateral trade and
investments. “We stand committed to supporting investors operating in the local
market,” Samir added.
Moreover, the minister highlighted
the importance of the Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Growth
signed with Jordan and Bahrain in enhancing food and drug security, especially
in the midst of the current global economic crisis.
Al-Marri, for his part, invited Samir to participate, with a delegation of Egyptian businessmen,
in the 2nd Investopia Annual Conference organized by the government in
Abu Dhabi next March.
