Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir has received Saudi Ambassador in Cairo Osama bin Ahmed Nuqali to discuss economic issues of common concern, in the presence of Ibrahim al-Seguiny, assistant minister for economic affairs, and Yahya al-Wathiq Billah, head of the Egyptian Commercial Service.

“The long-standing, strategic ties binding Egypt and the Kingdom is a cornerstone for boosting mutual cooperation,” Samir said, noting that Egypt is open for more Saudi capitals and fresh partnerships in its various production and services sectors.

According to official figures, bilateral trade hit $4.570 billion in 2021, up 41% from $3.236 billion a year earlier.
