Trade minister, Omani counterpart discuss boosting economic cooperation

The Omani side invited the minister to visit the capital Masqat during the first quarter of 2022.

Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea has held a virtual meeting with Omani Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion Qais Mohammed al-Youssef, where they explored means of expanding joint economic cooperation.

During the meeting the Omani side invited the minister to visit the capital Masqat during the first quarter of 2022 leading a delegation of officials and businessmen, to meet with Omani counterparts, attend the Egyptian-Omani business council and investment business forum, as well as sign MoUs in the fields of trade remedies, specifications and standards.

“The Omani market can serve as a hub for Egypt’s exports to access markets of the Gulf Cooperation Council as well as others bound with Oman by FTAs,” Gamea said.
