Minister of Trade and Industry
Nevine Gamea has met with Minister of Social Solidarity Nivine el-Kabbag to
discuss cooperation in the services provided by their respective ministries.
The meeting explored ways the Ministry
of Trade and Industry (MTI) could support the projects and social protection programs
offered by the Ministry of Social Solidarity (MOSS).
“We seek to offer more services to recipients
of the country's social welfare system, including individuals, SME family
businesses and producer cooperatives,” Gamea said.
The minister pointed to potential specialized
training programs in various professions through the MTI’s Productivity and
Vocational Training Department, Industrial Modernization Center, and technology
centers. Export councils could also help beneficiary SMEs export their products
to a wide range of markets.
