Under the auspices of Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea, Tabbin Institute for Metallurgical Studies (TIMS) has organized the Seventh Forum on Occupational Safety and Health in Cairo, with the participation of a host of experts in the fields of civil protection, sustainable development, environment, technical training, technology, education and quality control.
Heads of TIMS, the House of Representatives' industry committee and the Metallurgical Industries Holding Co. also attended the event.
"The forum is a major platform for exchanging views on occupational safety, which is an increasingly important issue, especially amid rising workplace accidents around the world," Gamea said, in a speech delivered on her behalf by Ihab Amin, assistant minister for technical affairs.
