Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir has met with board members of the Egyptian Federation of Investors Associations (EFIA), led by Chairman Moharam Helal, to discuss means of encouraging local manufacturing and boosting foreign trade.
"The political leadership is keen on supporting the industrial sector and constantly follows up on the challenges and demands of the business community through its executive bodies to find possible solutions," Samir said.
He added that the ministry is working on the automation of all its services to achieve decentralization and streamline procedures for investors, noting that it is coordinating with EFIA to list struggling factories across the country to assess their statuses.
