Ahmed Samir has received Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates’
Affairs Soha Gendi to discuss collaboration between their two ministries to integrate
Egyptian expats into the local economy.
The meeting reviewed progress of the
project to establish a shareholder company for expats, to encourage their
participation in national development and investment projects.
“The ministry stands ready to offer
all support to this key project through its commercial offices across the
world,” Samir said, noting that it will provide the Ministry of Immigration
with a list of potential industrial investment opportunities.
He further highlighted the importance of the initiative, pointing out
that it would help stir the local economy, create new jobs and unleash the full
potential of Egyptian emigrants.
