Minister of Trade and Industry
Ahmed Samir has met with Mohamed Abdel-Wahab, CEO of the General Authority for
Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), where they discussed cooperation in
streamlining industrial licensing procedures for investors.
The meeting, attended by head of the
Industrial Development Authority (IDA) Mohamed al-Zallat, also addressed numerous
challenges facing investors in the manufacturing sector and discussed ways to
solve them through investor service centers.
In this respect, the minister
directed the IDA to provide GAFI with a handbook for licensing requirements for
its service centers.
