Minister of Trade and Industry
Ahmed Samir has held a meeting with a delegation from the Qatari Businessmen
Association (QBA), led by Chairman Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim al-Thani, to
discuss boosting economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as possible
joint projects.
“Egypt is keen on advancing bilateral ties
with Qatar, capitalizing on the vast economic potential of their markets, to serve
the interests of both nations,” Samir said.
He pointed out that the Egyptian
Economic Conference held last week had presented ample opportunities of industrial
investment in the local market, including some 140 in the fields of mining,
petrochemicals, wood, solar cells, tires and textiles.
