Minister of Trade and Industry
Ahmed Samir has met with the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI)'s board members,
led by Mohamed el-Sewedy, and representatives of industrial chambers, to
discuss means to spur local industry.
“The private sector is a key player
in achieving the ministry’s goals of industrial development and inclusive
economic growth,” Samir.
He pointed out that the ministry is
working, in collaboration with the business community, on reviewing Egypt’s
industrial policies and legislations, with the aim of outlining a clear vision
for upgrading the country’s various industrial sectors.
The government, he added, seeks to find immediate solutions to provide raw
materials and other production supplies, stressing commitment to address the challenges
facing domestic manufacturing.
