Minister of Trade and Industry
Ahmed Samir has met with Miriame Victor, senior vice-president and chief commercial
officer of US Testing laboratories company Perkinelmer; and Mohamed Abul-Naga, general
manager of Austrian HVD for life science solutions.
The meeting reviewed
the existing cooperation with Egypt’s healthcare sector and discussed a potential
partnership for the local production of lab and medical supplies imported from
abroad.
“The future project
will help meet domestic needs and boost exports to neighboring, regional and
international markets,” Samir said.
PerkinElmer is an American
global corporation focused in the business areas of diagnostics, life science
research, food, environmental and industrial testing; while HVD Life Sciences, is
a marketing and distribution company specializing in sourcing, supplying and
supporting life science solutions.
