Robbiki Leather City has received
an Italian government delegation led by Michele Quaroni, the Italian ambassador
in Cairo, to review work progress in the city and ways to benefit from the vast
Italian expertise in the leather industry.
The Italian delegation inspected a number
of tanneries in Robbiki, its technological center and hundred-factory area.
Mahmoud Mahrez, president of Cairo
Investment Company, pointed to the great potential of the project, adding that
the Ministry of Trade and Industry is interested in developing technological
centers in all production sectors, especially the Leather Technology Center in Robbiki.
Quaroni, for his part, expressed
the Italian government's readiness to provide all support to boost Egypt’s leather
industry in general and Robbiki Leather City in particular.
