Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar inaugurated the
first Home Appliances and Tableware show (HATS Egypt), organized in Cairo by the Engineering Export Council of

With
the participation of 30 Egyptian companies, the expo aims to open new markets

industries is one of the most important sectors of the national economy. Egypt
boasts major industrial potential in this field that qualifies it to compete on
regional and international markets,” Nassar said.
He
pointed that Egypt is looking to expand in Africa’s engineering arena with the
huge opportunities the continent offers, thanks to the Trade and Industry Ministry’s
plan to further access the African market through joint industrial ventures.
“Organizing
the show for the first time in Egypt comes within the Council’s strategy to
open new markets for Egypt’s engineering products and set up real partnerships
with the private sector in Africa and the Arab World,” noted Amr Abu Freikha,
head of the EEC.
