Nassar talks potential industry investments with US Commerce Dept.'s Ian Steff.

Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar has met with US Deputy Assistant Secretary for Manufacturing and Assistant Secretary for Global Markets Ian Steff, currently visiting Egypt leading a high-profile delegation of 110 American companies of various fields.
The meeting discussed future US investments in Egypt's industrial sectors, including automotives and car component manufacturing.
Nassar also pointed to other potential areas of cooperation, namely in oil and gas, renewable energy, telecoms, and IT.
"More efforts need to be done to boost our trade volume, which hit $5.508 billion during the first nine months of 2019," Nassar said.
Steff, for his part, stressed that US companies are committed to investing and expanding in Egypt, being a major hub for its products to the markets of the Middle East and Africa.
