Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea has announced the launch of trade missions to Central and West African countries, with the aim of exploring trade and investment opportunities available in these promising markets and boosting cooperation with African business communities.
The announcement came during the Africa Business Bridge Forum, jointly organized by the Egyptian Commercial Service (ECS) and Attijariwafa Bank, to announce the new strategy to access Central and West African markets.
“The Egyptian government is keen to provide all support to African nations,” Gamea stressed in her speech, noting that the first of these missions will be next July to Senegal and Cameroon.
The move, she pointed out, aims to raise their capabilities in terms of trade liberalization and investment promotion, as well as share the Egyptian know-how in stimulating the industrial sector,and supporting SMEs.
