Cairo- Dec 21, 2021

Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea has issued a decree imposing final anti-dumping duties on Egyptian imports of UPVC originating or exported from Turkey (HS Codes 391620 and 392520), for a period of 5 years from the date of publication in the Egyptian Gazette.

Ibrahim al-Seguiny, assistant minister for economic affairs and head of the Trade Remedies Sector at MTI, said that the move comes upon recommendations by the competent advisory committee after investigating claims made by local manufacturers and concluding that Turkish UPVC shipments are sold at dumping margins of 8%-10% of the CIF value, which hurt the domestic industry.
