The first meeting of the Egyptian-Brazilian Business Council will take place in Cairo during the first three months of 2018.
Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil met with president of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Rubens Hannun, to discuss enhancing economic cooperation between Egypt and Brazil, especially after the first’s signing a free trade agreement with the Mercosur.
During the encounter, Kabil said that the first meeting of the Egyptian-Brazilian Business Council will take place in Cairo during the first three months of 2018, after the formation of the Brazilian side.
“The Egyptian-Brazilian Business Council will play a significant role in boosting bilateral trade and investments in the coming period, as well as address the obstacles facing economic cooperation between the two countries,” he noted.
The minister added that the FTA between Egypt and the Mercosur “will open new markets for Egyptian exports in Latin America.”
Kabil also stressed the importance of exchanging official and business visits between Egypt and Brazil, to promote investment opportunities available in both countries.
