Kabil: Egypt seeks to maintain a positive trade balance with Lebanon.
Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil, together with Lebanese Minister of Economy and Trade Raed Khoury, co-chaired the first meeting of the Joint Egyptian- Lebanese Business Council after being restructured, to discuss mutual economic cooperation and future investments.
Kabil said that Egypt is very keen to support Lebanon and its stability with the aim of broadening bilateral cooperation in the political, economic and social fields.
“The government seeks to maintain a positive trade balance between Egypt and Lebanon,” Kabil noted.
Khoury highlighted the strong ties binding Egypt and Lebanon and his country’s keenness to create partnerships with Egyptian businessmen. He added that the government is willing to promote Egyptian products in the Lebanese market.
