Minister of Trade
and Industry Ahmed Samir, along with ministers of tourism and higher education,
has witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the
Industrial Modernization Center (IMC), the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities,
ICESCO, UNESCO and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), on the sidelines
of COP27 held in Sharm el-Sheikh.
The agreement supports green transformation in Egypt through converting museums and heritage sites to use solar energy- PV panels- as a sustainable alternative that does not affect the
environment.
The signing
ceremony saw a high-level presence of princes, ministers and officials of the
MoU participating parties and member states.
