Report:
The authority conducted 7,068 inspections of factories, boilers and thermal
machines, as well as 1,721 specialized technical studies during the first half
of the year.

The Industrial Control Authority (ICA) conducted 7,068
inspections of factories, boilers and thermal machines during the first half of
2022, and 1,721 specialized technical studies in various fields including:
temporary admission and drawback, as well as studies for the General Authority
for Investment and Free Zones, and the Egyptian Tax Authority, according to the
latest performance report.
"The authority imposes strict controls on
factories to ensure their compliance to local and international quality
standards and boost the competitiveness of Egyptian products in local and
foreign markets," Abdel Raouf Ahmadi, head of the ICA said.
Ahmadi added that, during the January-June period, the
authority also granted licenses for 1,773 boilers and thermal machines,
accredited 466 service and maintenance centers (after-sales services), carried
out 198 periodical inspections of 1,421 factories, responded to 363 citizen
complaints, and provided 14,198 technical consultations
