Report: The authority conducted 3,608 inspections of factories and boilers, as well as 1,013 specialized technical studies during the first three months of 2022.

The Industrial Control Authority (ICA) conducted 3,608 inspections of factories, boilers and thermal machines during the first quarter of 2022, as well as 1,013 specialized technical studies in various fields including: temporary admission and drawback, according to the latest performance report.
The authority also granted licenses for 200 boilers and thermal machines, accredited 220 service and maintenance centers (after-sales services), carried out 90 periodical inspections of 704 factories, and responded to 199 citizen complaints.
"The ministry is committed to the standard specifications in manufacturing, being a fundamental pillar for improving the quality of the Egyptian product and increasing its competitiveness in local and foreign markets," Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea said commenting on the report.
Abdel Raouf al-Ahmadi, head of the ICA, pointed out that the inspections included factories of dyeing, paper, paints, plastic waste recycling, chemicals, wood, leather, engineering industries, marble, garments, medical supplies and electric appliances.
