The minister has conducted an
inspection of the al-Baghdady SME complex in Luxor, dedicated to the industries of food,
chemicals, ready-made garments, furniture and building materials.

Gamea has conducted an inspection visit of the al-Baghdady SME complex in
Luxor, accompanied by Governor of Luxor Mustafa Elham, Head of the Industrial
Development Authority Mohamed al-Zalat, and CEO of the Industrial Modernization
Center Mohamed Abdel Karim, in addition
to officials from the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency
(MSMEDA).
Gamea said construction has been completed of the al-Baghdadi
complex dedicated to various industries including: food, engineering, chemicals,
ready-made garments, furniture and building materials; at a total cost of EGP816
million. It houses 206 units and offers about 5,700 job opportunities.
“The ministry, represented by the Industrial Development
Authority, is establishing 17 industrial complexes across Egypt at a cost of up
to EGP10 billion, offering a total of 5,046 industrial units and creating 48,000
direct jobs,” she pointed out, stressing its commitment to offering all support
to investors.
The minister also met with investors in the Luxor governorate
to discuss the challenges facing them, and the key measures taken by the ministry's
agencies to help them overcome some of these challenges.
