Gamea participates in ‘Recycle for Tomorrow’ platform launch

Minister of Trade and Industry has participated in the launch ceremony of PepsiCo's "Recycle for Tomorrow" platform on behalf of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, in the presence of Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad, and Eugene Williamson, PepsiCo's CEO for Africa, Middle East and South Asia.

The platform aims to promote waste recycling and support the environment, especially within Egypt’s goal to reach zero waste.

“Waste management is a highly-profitable business, in addition to its role in preserving the environment and maximizing the use of the country’s huge resources carelessly disposed of,” Gamea said in her keynote speech.

Participants in the event also included: Jonathan Cohen, the US ambassador in Cairo, and Mohamed al-Sewedy, chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, through video conference.
