Minister of Trade and Industry
Nevine Gamea has inaugurated, on behalf of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, the
55th edition of the Cairo International Fair (CIF) which runs from March
9 to 18 at the Cairo International Convention Center.
Organized
by Egypt Expo and Convention Authority (EECA), the expo is held over an area of
17,690 square meters, with the participation of 150 Egyptian companies and four
government entities, including the Ministry of Military Production, the Medium,
Small and Micro Enterprise Development Agency, in addition to the Holding
Company for Food Industries and the Chemical Industries Holding Company.
“The government
is keen on holding more trade shows that provide top-notch products at
reasonable prices, with the aim of facilitating the lives of Egyptian consumers,”
Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea said.
The exhibition,
she added, offers discounts ranging around 10%-15% on goods from various
sectors including: food, chemicals, ready-made clothes, household appliances,
carpets, furniture, leather and handicrafts.
