“Digital Nation” conference
is organized in Cairo by the Chamber of Information and Communications
Technology Industry.

Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea has
inaugurated the seventh “Digital Nation” conference and its concurrent trade fair, organized
in Cairo by the Chamber of Information and Communications Technology Industry
(CIT), an affiliate of the Federation of Egyptian Industries
(FEI).
Held under the theme ‘The Era of Digital
Transformation,’
the event brought together delegations from African countries to learn
about the export opportunities Egyptian companies can offer to the continent.
“Digitization in the fields of trade and
industry is no more an option to keep up with the Fourth Industrial Revolution,
especially for countries seeking a top place in Africa and the Arab world,” Gamea
said in her keynote speech.
The minister also pointed out that the
conference will announce three initiatives by the FEI, including: the Digital
Transformation Committee to support the progress of various chambers during their
digital transformation plan, “Go to Africa” to explore the export opportunities
for Egyptian companies on the Dark continent, and the “Manu Tech” to link
different industry sectors to the digital revolution.
