Minister of Trade and Industry
Nevine Gamea has held an expanded meeting with members of the Tenth of Ramadan
Investors Association (TRIA), to discuss means to overcome the current challenges
facing manufacturers and exporters.
Governor of Sharkia, president of TRIA
and head of the Tenth of Ramadan City Development Authority participated in the
meeting, along with senior ministry officials.
“The government is keen to improve
the investment environment and offer more incentives to investors in all
production and service sectors,” Gamea said.
She pointed out that the recent export
ban on some strategic commodities aims to ensure the availability of the local
market needs, excluding companies with prior contracts.
The minister added that central
laboratories will be opened in Egyptian ports next June to guarantee the
quality of imports and accelerate cargo clearance.
