Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea has met with Peter Ramsauer, head of the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce, to discuss means of expanding mutual cooperation in trade, industry, investment and renewable energy.

“Egypt is keen on strengthening its bilateral ties with Germany, one of its key economic partners in the EU, and transferring its huge industrial expertise to local manufacturing,” Gamea said.

The two sides explored ways to further cooperation between the two countries in renewable energy, mainly with regards to green hydrogen production, as well as in the auto industry.

The meeting also discussed holding the joint Egyptian-German economic committee during the second half of June in Berlin, and a joint business forum too, especially that Germany will be hosting the Arab German Business Forum during the same period, on June 21-23.
