Minister of Trade and
Industry Nevine Gamea has met with Peter Ramsauer, head of the German-Arab
Chamber of Industry and Commerce, to discuss means of expanding mutual
cooperation in trade, industry, investment and renewable energy.
“Egypt is keen on strengthening
its bilateral ties with Germany, one of its key economic partners in the EU,
and transferring its huge industrial expertise to local manufacturing,” Gamea
said.
The two sides explored ways
to further cooperation between the two countries in renewable energy, mainly
with regards to green hydrogen production, as well as in the auto industry.
The meeting also discussed
holding the joint Egyptian-German economic committee during the second half of
June in Berlin, and a joint business forum too, especially that Germany will be
hosting the Arab German Business Forum during the same period, on June 21-23.
