Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea has received Adel al-Sager, director-general of the Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining Organization (AIDMO), where they reviewed its role in promoting industrial integration among Arab countries, and strengthening supply chains to meet their manufacturing needs.

“The ministry is keen on expanding joint cooperation with the organization to boost the competitiveness of the Arab world’s various production sectors,” Gamea said,

Egypt, she noted, is committed to providing the necessary technical support to assist other Arab countries in developing their industries and transfer its know-how in the fields of standardization, as well as establishing and managing specialized industrial complexes.

Al-Sager, for his part, stressed the key role Egypt plays in achieving economic integration among the Arab nations, pointing out that the organization is working on a number of projects and initiatives aimed at supporting joint Arab action in the area of standards and quality.
