The meeting has reviewed AIDMO 's role in
promoting industrial integration among Arab countries.

Gamea has received Adel al-Sager, director-general of the Arab Industrial
Development, Standardization and Mining Organization (AIDMO), where they
reviewed its role in promoting industrial integration among Arab countries, and
strengthening supply chains to meet their manufacturing needs.
The meeting was attended by Khaled
Soufy, head of the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality
Control, and Muhammad al-Sharif, director of the Planning and Follow-up Office
at AIDMO.
“The ministry is keen on expanding
joint cooperation with the organization to boost the competitiveness of the Arab
world’s various production sectors,” Gamea said,
Egypt, she noted, is committed to
providing the necessary technical support to assist other Arab countries in developing
their industries and transfer its know-how in the fields of standardization, as
well as establishing and managing specialized industrial complexes.
Al-Sager, for his part, stressed
the key role Egypt plays in achieving economic integration among the Arab nations,
pointing out that the organization is working on a number of projects and
initiatives aimed at supporting joint Arab action in the area of standards and
quality.
He further referred to the AIDNO’s Arab
Halal Project, which establishes an integrated Arab halal slaughter system, and
the first digital platform for requests and offers of Arab products, which would
contribute in achieving Arab industrial and mining integration and
strengthening supply chains among Arab industries.
