The meeting has explored German technology
transfer and future investments in Egypt.

Minister of Trade and Industry
Nevine Gamea has received a business delegation from the German
Near and Middle East Association (NUMOV), led by Chairman Martin Herrenknecht, currently
visiting Egypt to meet with senior Egyptian officials to discuss future
economic cooperation and boosting German investments in the domestic market.
“Egypt is looking forward to benefiting
from Germany’s industrial know-how in developing local manufacturing,” Gamea
said, pointing out that there are ample investment opportunities for German
businesses in the country, namely in the fields of engineering industries, electric
vehicles, as well as energy, especially in the production of green hydrogen.
Gamea encouraged the German
business community to inject fresh investments in Egypt and benefit from its
business-friendly climate and the various incentive packages the government
offers.
The meeting was attended by German Ambassador
in Cairo Frank Hartmann and Nasser Hamed, head of the EU Department at the
Egyptian Commercial Services.
