Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea has received a business delegation from the German Near and Middle East Association (NUMOV), led by Chairman Martin Herrenknecht, currently visiting Egypt to meet with senior Egyptian officials to discuss future economic cooperation and boosting German investments in the domestic market.

“Egypt is looking forward to benefiting from Germany’s industrial know-how in developing local manufacturing,” Gamea said, pointing out that there are ample investment opportunities for German businesses in the country, namely in the fields of engineering industries, electric vehicles, as well as energy, especially in the production of green hydrogen.

Gamea encouraged the German business community to inject fresh investments in Egypt and benefit from its business-friendly climate and the various incentive packages the government offers.

The meeting was attended by German Ambassador in Cairo Frank Hartmann and Nasser Hamed, head of the EU Department at the Egyptian Commercial Services.
