The meeting has reviewed the ministry's strategy to set up industrial parks and the latest developments in the establishment of 100 hangars in Robbiki Leather City.

Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea has held a large meeting with Major General / Ihab al-Far, head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, and Mohamed al-Zalat, head of the Industrial Development Authority, to review the ministry's strategy to set up industrial parks.
"The ministry aims, during the current period, to expand the establishment of industrial complexes in all production sectors across the governorates, in accordance with President Sisi's directives," Gamea said.
She pointed out that the strategy serves to achieve the ministry's objective of deepening local industrialization, which would help provide local market's needs and create more jobs as well as introduce new high-tech industries.
The IDA, she added, has established 17 industrial complexes in a number of governorates, in cooperation with the military engineering authority, housing a total of 5,046 manufacturing units and providing about 48,000 direct job opportunities, at a total cost of up to EGP 10 billion.
The meeting also discussed the latest developments in the establishment of 100 hangars in Robbiki Leather City. Officials of the military authority reported that 73% of the construction has been completed, and the project is to be finalized during the last quarter of the year.
