preparations for the upcoming 6th Egyptian-German Joint Economic Committee.

Minister of Trade and Industry
Nevine Gamea has met with Robert Habeck, German federal minister for economic affairs
and climate action, where they explored means of boosting bilateral cooperation
and other areas of mutual interest.
The meeting reviewed preparations
for the upcoming 6th Egyptian-German Joint Economic Committee,
scheduled to be held in September, as well as Egypt’s hosting of the 27th Conference
of the Parties (COP 27) in Sharm el-Sheikh on November 7-18.
The two ministers also discussed cooperation
in hydrogen production and automotives.
During the meeting, Gamea presented
a proposal to establish a German industrial zone in the Suez Canal Economic
Zone both for domestic and export purposes.
