Meetings with major French companies explored investment
opportunities in the Egyptian market.

On her way back home from Senegal, Minister of Trade and
Industry Nevine Gamea has held, in Paris, a series of meetings with major
French companies to explore investment opportunities in the Egyptian market.
The meetings were organized by the Egyptian Commercial Office
in Paris and included: Fives, Alcatel-Lucent and Transdev companies, as well as
the head of the French side in the joint business council and officials of the Association
du Souvenir de Ferdinand de Lesseps et du Canal de Suez.
According to official figures, Egyptian exports to France grew
11% in January-April 2021 to reach €236,281 million, compared to about €212,050
million last year. Similarly, French investments in Egypt increased 17.9% in
the fiscal year 2019/2020 to $349 million, up from $296.1 million in 2018/2019.
