Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea has held a meeting with sanitaryware manufacturers in Egypt to discuss ways to implement a national plan to rationalize water consumption, in the presence of Mohamed al-Mohandes, president of the Chamber of Engineering Industries (CEI) at the Federation of Egyptian Industries.

“The meeting comes under the directions of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to discuss the possibility of manufacturing water-saving mixer faucets within the government’s current drive towards rationalizing water consumption in houses and government facilities,” Gamea said.

She indicated that there will be coordination during the next period between the ministry represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Standards and Quality and the CEI on one side, and sanitaryware manufacturing companies on the other, to follow up on the matter.
