Gamea discusses with Moroccan counterpart boosting cooperation

Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Game has met with Moroccan Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour, among other senior officials and businessmen, while visiting the North African country.

The meeting discussed achieving industrial integration between Egypt and Morocco in the field of car manufacturing, as well as restructuring the joint business council with the aim of boosting economic cooperation and encouraging the private sector to inject more investments in both markets.

“We need to further advance bilateral commercial and industrial ties and capitalize on the long-standing history binding our two nations,” Gamea said.

The ministers also agreed that a technical delegation will visit Cairo soon, led by Mezzour, to explore various areas of common interest.  

According to official data, Egypt-Morocco trade hit $758.7 million, up 23% from $617 a year earlier; with Egyptian exports growing 52% to $711 million.
