The governments of Egypt and Saudi
Arabia are keen to achieve a qualitative leap in their joint relations.

Minister of
Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea and Saudi Minster of Commerce Majid al-Qasabi concluded today in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the first meetings of the working group tasked to follow up on the recommendations
of the 17th Egyptian-Saudi Joint Committee, held in Cairo back in
June 2021.
“The
governments of Egypt and Saudi Arabia are keen to achieve a qualitative leap in
their joint economic, social, humanitarian and cultural relations,” Gamea said,
She
stressed the importance of implementing the committee’s recommendations which included
facilitating the movement of trade, increasing joint investments and industrial
projects, as well as enhancing the competitiveness of SMEs through the exchange
of knowledge and experiences.
The minister
further highlighted the need to join efforts to increase the volume of bilateral
trade, the driving force of mutual cooperation between the two countries,
especially in the areas of air and maritime transport, finance, tourism,
agriculture, expos, communications, healthcare and energy.
