The move comes as Egypt prepares
for hosting the next COP27 United Nations Climate Change Conference in
Sharm El-Sheikh.

The General Organization for
Export and Import Control (GOEIC) has established new testing laboratories in
the fields of biodegradable products, carbon footprint measurement, refrigerant
testing and analysis, as well as energy efficiency optimization tests.
The move comes as Egypt prepares
for hosting the next COP27 United Nations Climate Change Conference in
Sharm El-Sheikh.
“The ministry is keen to upgrade the
infrastructure of all its affiliated bodies, within government efforts to
support the country's green transition amid a global shift towards a low carbon world,” Gamea
said.
