The General Organization for Export
and Import Control (GOEIC) has organized, in cooperation with the Egyptian
Customs Authority, a workshop for exporters on the certified source system and
its application mechanisms.
The event featured an Italian
customs authority expert to present the EU experience in the field, including
the EUR1 and EUR-MED movement certificate.
Essam al-Naggar, head of the GOEIC,
said that registration in the certification program will be open at www.goeic.gov.eg as of October 1, for an initial 107
companies as part of the first stage.
