Some 800,000 people have visited the Egyptian pavilion since
its opening last October.

Egypt Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai has
received a delegation of the Egyptian House of Representatives, led by Counselor
Hanafi Jabali, speaker of the House.
The delegation was shown around the
pavilion by Ashraf El-Deeb, the Egyptian consul general in Dubai, and Ashraf
Hamdi, head of the Egyptian Commercial Office in Dubai and Egypt’s commissioner-general
to the Expo.
Jabali said that the Egyptian
pavilion sheds light on the “New Republic” and its interrelationship with the
ancient Egyptian civilization, lauding the efforts exerted to present a vivid
image of Egypt to the world.
For his part, Hamdi noted that the pavilion
has seen an impressive turnout that reached about 800,000 visitors from
different countries of the world.
He added that since the beginning
of January, the pavilion has received numerous visits by public figures and
international institutions, including: a government delegation from Malta, another
from the African Export-Import Bank, IMF’s Executive Director Mahmoud Mohieldin,
Jordanian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Nayef Hamidi, Sudanese Minister
of Investment and International Cooperation Ahlam Madani and President of
Al-Ahly Club Mahmoud el-Khatib.
