Egypt won third place for its interior design and second in a
public vote for its creative work at Expo 2020 Dubai.

Egypt Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai was
awarded bronze under the category of Exhibition Design for Self-built
pavilions: Category B (between 1,750m2 and 2,500m2), at the BIE Day Awards
Ceremony, organized by the Bureau International des Expositions on the eve of
the closing of the Expo, Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea has
announced.
Egypt, she said, also ranked second
after Peru in the public vote conducted by the Exhibitor magazine for the best
participating countries in the Expo, in which 40 of the best pavilions participated.
“During the six-month span of the
event, the Egyptian pavilion enjoyed a high turnout, receiving 1.5 million
visitors from different countries of the world,” the minister added.
The BIE
Day Awards Ceremony recognized the outstanding contributions from international
participants, during which a total of 51 gold, silver and bronze awards were
handed out in five different categories according to the size and type of
pavilion.
