Mohamed Abdel Karim, CEO of the
Industrial Modernization Center, has been appointed as the acting head of the
Industrial Development Authority for one year.

Prime
Minister Mostafa Madbouly has issued a decree appointing Eng. Mohamed Abdel
Karim, CEO of the Industrial Modernization Center (IMC), as the acting head of
the Industrial Development Authority (IDA) for one year or until a new board is
elected.
In this
respect, Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir met with Mohamed al-Zallat,
ex-president of the IDA, and new chief Abdel Karim to discuss work progress at
the authority, especially related to land allocation and licensing in
industrial complexes.
“The coming
period will see a more active role of the IDA, being one of the main actors in achieving
the ministry’s vision for an inclusive and sustainable industrial development,”
Samir said.
