Iron, sugar, garments, plastics,
sulfur and cement are the main Egyptian exports to the Spanish market.

Egyptian
exports to Spain grew significantly by 69.1% year on year to €450.7 million during
the first half of the year, up from about €266.4 million in 2020,
Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea said.
According
to a recent report by the Egyptian commercial office in Madrid, iron and steel was
among the key sectors behind this export growth, with exports increasing 472.4% to €145.3
million, making up 32.2% of total Egyptian exports to the EU market.
Other
sectors included: fruits (€24.9 million), sugar and sugar products (€4.3
million), crochet clothing (€32 million), plastics (€49.1 million), salt,
sulfur, and cement (€3.099 million); rising 204.7%, 347.7%, 84.1%, 50.9% and 189.4%
respectively.
