The Egyptian commercial office in
the Kenyan capital Nairobi has organized the Egypt-Kenya Business Forum, in
cooperation with Egypt's Food Export Council (FEC) and under the auspices of the
Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Some 21 Egyptian FEC member companies
in a broad range of food industries participated in the event, in addition to representatives
of the Kenyan Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development,
and the private sector.
During the forum, 600 B2B meetings were held between Egyptian and Kenyan
firms to explore potential cooperation opportunities and export contracts at an
estimated value of $25 million, Head of the commercial office in Nairobi Amr
al-Bakri said.
