The 17th session
of the Egyptian-Saudi Joint Committee will be hosted in Cairo this year.

A working team
of Egyptian and Saudi officials has held a second meeting via video conference to
follow up on the recommendations of the 16th session of the Egyptian-Saudi Joint
Committee, which was held in Riyadh in May 2018.
The Egyptian
side was chaired by Ibrahim al Seginy, assistant minister for economic affairs
and supervisor of the Agreements and Foreign Trade Sector at the Ministry Trade
and Industry, and the Saudi by Mishaal bin Muqbel al-Muqbel, undersecretary for
international relations and commercial attaches at the General Authority for
Foreign Trade in Saudi Arabia.
The two sides stressed
the keenness of their countries to enhance bilateral cooperation and facilitate
the movement of goods between them with regard to fresh fruits and vegetables,
provided that each side notifies the other of the shipments being rejected to
take the necessary action against the violating companies.
They also agreed
to hold the 17th session of the Egyptian-Saudi Joint Committee in Cairo this
year, as well as an investment forum in Riyadh in coordination with the
Egyptian General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, the Saudi Ministry of
Investment and the Council of Saudi Chambers.
