Egyptian exports to the French market grew significantly by 21%
year on year to €350 million during the first half of the year, up from about €288
million euros, while imports decreased by 9% to reach €913 million, compared to
about €1.5 billion in 2020, Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea said.
According to a recent report by the Egyptian commercial
office in Paris, among the key sectors behind this export growth are: fertilizers
and nitrogen compounds (€58 million), organic chemicals (€38 million), and household
appliances (€26 million), rising 3.5%, 26% and 35% respectively.
