The Egyptian Organization for
Standardization and Quality (EOS) has been elected as a board member of the International
Organization for Standardization (ISO) for 2023-2025.
Egypt has garnered the votes of 60
countries, outperforming Singapore and Vietnam, during the 44th annual
meetings of the general assembly held in UAE on September 19-23.
“Choosing Egypt on the ISO board of
directors attests to the great attention given by the political leadership to
quality and standards for their pivotal role in advancing national economy,”
Khaled Sofy, head of the EOS.
