A delegation
from the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality Control (EOS),
led by its head Khaled Soufy, has taken part in the 28th ARSO General Assembly
Events, hosted by the government of the Republic of Cameroon in the capital
Yaounde on July 27-28.
The ARSO Week
2022 was held under the theme: “The Standards We Want – African Union Agenda
2063 and African Continental Free Trade Area: “The Role of Standardisation and
Conformity Assessment During a Journey of 41 Years”.
This year’s edition reviewed the progress of
ARSO programs under the 2017-2022 Strategic Plan and emphasized the need for harmonized
standards and conformity assessment regimes, for a smooth flow of goods and services
in a single market under the AfCFTA Agreement.
