The Egyptian Organization for Standards
and Quality (EOS) has hosted the fourth meeting of the Egyptian-Saudi Joint Committee
on standards and specifications at the authority’s headquarters in Cairo.
Under the auspices of Minister of
Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea, the meeting was co-chaired by Khaled Sofy,
head of the EOS, and Saad Alkasabi, governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology,
and Quality Organization (SASO).
“The Saudi delegation’s visit to
Cairo reflects both countries’ keenness to further deepen their bilateral
relations,” Sofy said, noting that the meeting is one of the outcomes of the Egyptian-Saudi
work group meeting held in Riyadh back in March.
